SURESTAFF is immediately hiring Packers in Elk Grove Village, IL. The Packers are responsible for inspecting, packing, and labeling plastic parts according to company and customer specifications. SURESTAFF is invested in their team members! Positions are long-term temporary and offer competitive compensation $17/hr. as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision). Available shifts include 1st and 2nd shift. 1st shift: 8:30am-5:00pm2nd shift: 5:00pm-1:30am Responsibilities of the Packer:-Quality inspection: Visually inspect finished injection molded parts for defects like blemishes, burrs, or other quality issues.-Packaging: Pack parts into boxes according to specific work instructions and customer specifications. This includes assembling boxes, applying labels, and sealing them.-Documentation: Keep accurate records of production counts and scrap quantities, and complete quality paperwork as required.-Material handling: Use a pallet jack to move full pallets to designated areas, and may assist with the flow of raw materials or finished goods.-Safety and housekeeping: Maintain a clean and safe work area by sweeping, cleaning machines, and following all safety policies and procedures.-Machine support: Monitor production processes and report any machine malfunctions or consistent issues to a supervisor or technician.-Teamwork and training: Work with team members to meet production targets and may assist in training new employees.-Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work area, adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Required Qualifications of the Packer:-Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks, including lifting objects weighing 15-40 pounds -Basic quality control skills to identify defective products.-Ability to follow instructions and work instructions precisely.-Strong attention to detail.-Ability to perform basic math to track production and monitor machine settings.-Good communication skills and ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.-Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift materials, and perform repetitive tasks.
