SURESTAFF is immediately hiring a Transportation Coordinator for a large client in Des Plaines, IL. The Transportation Coordinator is responsible for performing various levels of administrative functions and understanding the importance of confidentiality, when necessary.
SURESTAFF is invested in their team members! All temp-to-hire employees are offered competitive compensation ($19.50) as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision).
Available shift: Monday-Friday, 2:30pm-7:30pm (Part time hours)
Responsibilities of the Transportation Coordinator:
Receive customer requests, schedule and track for inbound & outbound shipments.
Create Bills of Lading/UPS and FedEx Labels
Rate quoting on vendor websites.
Effectively communicate via email & phone with customers to take pickup requests and resolve pickup issues, vendors and inter-departmental coworkers.
Maintain Shipment Logs
Inbound carrier review
Courier / Air Freight Tracking with Vendor follow up.
Assist on reporting functions.
Other Duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications of the Transportation Coordinator:
Previous related work experience
Good written and verbal communication skills
Highly organized, eye for detail self-motivator
Proficient computer skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook & SharePoint.
In current position for six months
High School Diploma or G.E.D.
