SUMMARY: The Planner is responsible for coordinating and planning schedules related to production and raw materials. Responsible for product flow throughout the manufacturing process and ensure timely completion of orders by ensuring availability of resources. And driving the planning schedule forward to find creative solutions to improve manufacturing efficiency. To be successful as a Planner on our team you’ll need to be a self-starter who can effectively lead others while balancing multiple projects on defined timelines. Communication and collaboration are also key because you’ll work closely with inter-company teams to ensure production is performed at the highest level of efficiency without sacrificing quality ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned. • Provides master production schedules based on needs pertaining to safety stock, forecast, customer orders, production efficiency, and machine availability. This involves communicating to others when gaps exist between demand vs. capacity. • Interface with the Purchasing team to ensure required materials will be available for the master production schedule. • Responsible for knowing the packaging components and general product configurations of the subassembly and/or final assembly; this will include current NPO, RPO, and ECOs. • Initiate continuous improvement activities to develop solutions for supply issues. • Analyzes inventory usage, scrap, and waste, and recommends any appropriate actions to minimize loss, reduce/ increase inventory to support safety stock levels. This will involve managing within corporate planning metric targets. • Interfaces and coordinates with manufacturing, purchasing, and quality control to manage successful timeline of new product launch. • Self-Starter, performs quality work within deadlines with minimal direct supervision. • Works effectively as a team contributor on all assignments. • Follows company safety policies and procedures.
