SURESTAFF is immediately hiring a Plant Maintenance Engineer for a client in Northbrook, IL. The Plant Maintenance Engineer oversees quoting details, equipment design, purchasing and safety. Facility produces precision metal products for automotive industry. SURESTAFF is invested in their team members! Available shifts include: 1st shift 8 hour shiftWeekends as needed. Plant Maintenance Engineer Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in launching new products through quoting activity and tracking of tooling.
Purchase needed tools and supplies for the facility.
Coordinate work with outside suppliers.
Design and help install new equipment as needed.
Help develop improved processes throughout the facility. Implement these processes in coordination with maintenance manager.
Support maintenance manager in all activities.
Coordinate with maintenance manager to ensure preventative maintenance schedules are maintained.
Plant Maintenance Engineer Skills and Competencies:
Minimum 5 years related experience in manufacturing; or, Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university.
Or equivalent combination of Tech school education and experience.
Equipment maintenance experience and mechanical knowledge is required.
Intermediate computer skills (MS Office).
Knowledge of electric furnaces and mechanical hoists is a plus.
