SURESTAFF is immediately hiring Printing Press Operators for a client in Romeoville, IL. The Printing Press Operator will perform complex printing jobs, including set-up and troubleshooting for each job. The press operator will produce products in a highly efficient manner in alignment with business goals and KPI’s to the highest possible quality standards. SURESTAFF is invested in their team members! Generous referral bonuses are available upon hire. Press Operator Shift Hours: (1st) 8a-5p Responsibilities of the Printing Press Operator:
Operate, set-up, and trouble shoot flexographic printing presses and auxiliary equipment, all in accordance with production standards and productivity goals.
Follow all quality inspection plans. This involves measuring, checking, and testing various processes and product parameters. Meet established goals for material scrap and yield
Collaborate with all plant leadership and departments such as engineering, procurement, customer service, and logistics to coordinate production activities, address technical issues, standardize processes, and optimize supply chain processes.
Setup and operate machines, independently with limited supervision
Ensure the work area is kept clean and free from hazards
Assist in departmental measurable goals relating production concerns, quality and efficiency
Assist in monthly inventory count to ensure proper inventory control
Required Qualifications of the Printing Press Operator:
Ability to read measuring equipment (dial calipers, bar micrometer, squares and protractors)
Ability to read blueprints and calculate bend allowances
High School diploma or GED
Must have Press Brake Experience (1-2 years minimum experience)
