SURESTAFF is immediately hiring an experienced Production Operator/Blender/Mixer/Compounder 2nd shift for a high caliber client in Garland, TX. This role prepares and produces our adhesive products, everything from making the boxes to working with our formulas blending and mixing raw materials to produce the adhesives. Compounds, mixes, and blends chemical batches by performing the following duties: SURESTAFF is invested in their team members! All temp-to-hire employees are offered competitive compensation of $18.50Hr as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision). Available shifts include-2nd shift 1:45pm - 10:15pm (Monday- Friday) ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Reads work order or formula to determine types and quantities of materials to weigh and procedure to be followed for manufacturing process.
Weighs quantities of materials for use in the manufacturing processes.
Places loose or packaged material on scales and adds or removes portions of material to obtain specified weight.
Records weight of materials used for production records and maintains perpetual inventory of materials used and on hand by recording and marking drums.
Dumps materials in prescribed sequence into vat, hopper or mixing pot.
Monitor and log time and temperature as specified on Batch ticket.
Starts machine and observes operation to detect malfunctions of machine. Stops machine and reports malfunction to supervisor.
Transfers weighed materials to production or storage areas.
Records information such as weight, type of product, date and batch number of products produced.
Inspects materials, products, and containers at each step of manufacturing process.
Trains in different roles on the production line from beginning to end.
Cleans work area, machines, tools, and equipment. Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Additional requirements for the position also include but are not limited to:
Must be clean shaved. (Dusk Mask)
Standing, walking, lifting, bending, climbing stairs, required for duration of shift.
Physically able to work 8 hrs. shifts
Being able to work in a hot and dusty environment (safety PPE provided)
Able to lift 55 lbs. bags in a constant rhythm.
Must be able to wear required safety PPE at all times.
Forklift certified and or willingness to learn to operate a forklift safely.
Possess minimum math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)
Speak, read, and write English (Bilingual)
Learn to use and operate scan guns to report and control inventories.
Follow all safety guidelines and processes.
