Job Description
Have you been a leader within a union manufacturing facility? You could work with the largest, privately held, North American manufacturer of Gears, Gearboxes, Shafts, and Assemblies for the Commercial, Aerospace, Defense, and Aviation industries as a direct-hire Stockroom Compliance Coordinator. This year they will celebrate 77 years in business. Over that time, they have had gear products in space since 1991, the Indianapolis 500 on multiple winning teams, and current products on America's most advanced fighter jet platforms. Their 140,000 square-foot climate-controlled facility is equipped with state-of-the-art advanced cutting-edge equipment. They pride themselves on injecting advanced manufacturing processes and being vertically integrated with world-class heat treating and plating facilities. HOURS: 6:30am-4:30pm Monday-Friday with a few hours on Saturdays as needed PAY: up to $120K annually (depending upon experience and quality of interview process)Excellent benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, STD, 401K with a match)Must be able to work 100% on-site- remote work is not available
Responsibilities:
Set and execute the strategy for the manufacturing group to be the best in a globally competitive manufacturing site.
Assist and train team members to ensure success in meeting on-time delivery, quality, and cost/productivity goals.
Coordinate with the Quality Department to address all quality issues, understand root causes, and be able to address any errors with employees which will help reduce scrap and stay within the company's budget.
Work closely with the Engineering group on items in the process logbooks.
Initiate and lead project changes to improve lead times, earned hours, and productivity to control production costs and meet profits.
Control customer delinquencies.
Solidify the teamwork approach throughout the productions and supply one-on-one employee coaching, as necessary.
Work with the Health & Safety committee to maintain a good health & safety working environment and culture.
Work closely with Human Resources on staffing levels and recruitment.
Maintains close working relationships and communication with upper management.
Requirements:
Knowledge of Aerospace Gears
3+ years of Manufacturing leadership experience within a union facility
Knowledge of Epicor ERP system
Must maintain good communication with lead production teams and all shifts.
Able to meet and discuss employee issues with the Union leadership team and resolve any problems promptly.
Experience with Union related items such as grievances
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrate ability in maintaining positive management and employee relations, with a high level of integrity.
Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident.
