About the Role:
Sure Staff is hiring a Production Supervisor in a direct hire capacity for a valued client in the manufacturing industry. This leadership role is essential to ensuring smooth and efficient production processes by organizing workflows and overseeing staff. The Production Supervisor will focus on employee development, mentoring, and achieving production schedules, all while prioritizing workplace safety and product quality.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Organize, direct, train, and assist production staff to meet workflow and scheduling requirements.
  • Monitor and prioritize tasks to achieve production goals; proactively address bottlenecks.
  • Take ownership of challenges, collaborate with departments to resolve issues, and maintain exceptional follow-through.
  • Lead, manage, and hold production personnel accountable (LMA).
  • Evaluate production processes for optimal efficiency and suggest improvements.
  • Identify opportunities for employee growth; work with HR and operations to develop training initiatives.
  • Assist with recruitment, interviewing, and onboarding of new hires.
  • Support HR activities, including hiring, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions.
  • Ensure a safe work environment and proactively address any safety concerns.
  • Report facility and equipment issues promptly.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

  • Ensure work areas and equipment are safe and initiate correction of hazards as appropriate.
  • In the event of an incident or injury, promptly report to the Safety Manager.
Job Requirements:
  • Maintain regular attendance and punctuality; standard hours are Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., with additional hours as necessary, including some Saturdays (45-55 hours/week).
  • Excellent organizational, communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and work ethic, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Self-motivated and team-oriented.
  • Spanish-speaking is a plus.
Education/Training/Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 7 years in an industrial manufacturing environment, with a minimum of 4 years of supervisory experience managing 15+ direct reports.
Physical Demands:
  • Frequently required to stand, use hands, talk, hear, and see.
  • Occasionally required to walk, climb, balance, bend, lift, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
  • Must be able to lift and move up to 25 pounds regularly, up to 50 pounds frequently, and up to 70+ pounds occasionally with assistance.
