2nd Shift Production Supervisor – Toledo, OH – Direct Hire 2024 Salary $65k-$80k.General FunctionSupervises and coordinates activities of production workers by performing the following duties. Job Responsibilities• Supervises up to 35 employees. Is ultimately responsible for personnel, cost, delivery schedules and operation within assigned areas.• Coordinates and implements “team” concept among personnel in assigned areas.• Responsible for determining required staffing levels, transfers/bids for department openings, discipline, performance evaluations, implementing training within assigned areas. • Acts as liaison between Operations Manager and assigned workforce to keep Senior Management informed. Maintains the highest possible level of employer and employee relationships.• Coordinates and directs the continuous improvements processes, six sigma events, and other lean manufacturing techniques to achieve business goals within assigned area.• Motivates others to identify and eliminate problems that must be corrected and encourages the flexibility necessary for the continuous improvement process to adapt to changing priorities and evolve along with the organization.• Develops standards of performance, measures progress, analyzes delays or serious problems and takes remedial action.• Interprets and enforces contractual and company procedures in a fair and unbiased manner, displaying patience and understanding.• Establish a solid safety program for responsible areas.• Performs miscellaneous related duties and carries out special projects as assigned. Working Conditions Frequent exposure to manufacturing environment. Overtime is required, either before or after the normal starting times and on weekends. Physical Component(s) Standing and walking up to 80% of work time. Skill Specifications• Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills.• Self-motivated, displaying independent judgment and initiative.• Stamping and machining experience preferred.• Knowledge of S.P.C. and experience of transfer and progressive tooling is beneficial.• Good computer skills, specifically with MS Office; QAD.• Working knowledge of quality systems such as TS16949
