Direct Hire Position- ProtoTrak Control Mill Specialist
First Shift- 
We are seeking a skilled ProtoTRAK Control/Mill Specialist with experience in a shop environment. This immediate direct hire position offers a pay range of $27-$32 per hour based on experience and interview quality, along with comprehensive benefits. As the ProtoTRAK Control/Mill Specialist, your responsibilities will include operating and programming the ProtoTRAK Control mill (2 axles), conducting set-up and calibration procedures, ensuring quality standards are met, and maintaining equipment. You should have a minimum of 3 years of ProtoTRAK milling machine experience, strong knowledge of tooling and inspection, the ability to read blueprints, and physical dexterity to handle the demands of the role. Will include Hands on interview focusing on the following topics
Principle Accountabilities
  • Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of all machining equipment in the machining cell including saw, various deburring equipment, ProtoTRAK mill - 2 axels.
  • Perform proper set-up and calibration procedures for all equipment and accessories to be used to create finished parts.
  • Responsible for set up, operating controls, setting work holding fixtures, debarring, and inspection of quality parts.
  • Ensure that every finished piece meets exacting specifications. This means that the operator must consistently check the finished product, which involves taking measurements.
  • Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process.
  • Detects equipment malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjusts machine, within capabilities and reports all machine malfunctions to supervisor.
  • Read and understand blueprints, including geometric dimension and tolerancing (GD+T) to produce manufactured parts per specification.
  • Use common hand gages (dial calipers, micrometers, bore gages, depth gages, etc.) to ensure part quality and adherence to specifications.
  • Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample workpieces, adhering to standards.
  • Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; Reporting any repairs needed.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment. Comply with all quality, safety and work rules and regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Essential Skills and Experience
  • A minimum of 3 years of working on ProtoTRAK milling machines, experience in a shop environment, including machining set-up.
  • Strong knowledge of tooling, inspection, and fixturing preferred.
  • Ability to use and/or setup various measuring devices and gauges.
  • Must have the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, or oral form.
  • Must have mathematical skills with the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings/blueprints.
  • Ability to stand for a long duration of time for more than 8 hours a day.
  • Ability to bend and rotate body repeatedly.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds floor to waist.
  • Ability to squat for 2+ minutes at a time.
  • Ability to move wrists for fine movements.

We are looking for a person who will work all day on manual machine with 2 axles ProtoTRAK control, all day making different parts, from different material in small quantity.
All manual milling machines looks similar. This is what is different on our machines: Need to know how to generate 2” hole with ½” endmill on ProtoTRAK control.
