Company Description: Our client is an entrepreneurial company that provides contract manufacturing services to the Cosmetics and Personal Care fields. We have been in business since 2018 and have grown at a very fast pace since that time. We specialize in developing and packaging liquids, creams and hot fill personal care products into bottles, tubes, jars, sachets, packets, and other package formats. SDB does not manufacture its’ own brand. Each product is manufactured to be customer specific and proprietary. 
Job Title: Quality Supervisor Employment Type: Full-time
Job Description: Client is currently seeking an experienced Quality Supervisor to join our team. Key accountability in Managing Quality Systems in compliance with customer specifications. Design and build Quality functions and team within facility. Perform audits and provide reports and recommendations to senior management based on audit findings. Serve as technical expert for all Plant Quality matters. Direct Reports: Quality Inspectors 
Job Responsibilities: • Manage a team of three or more Direct Reports with overall responsibility for Quality Department and Analytical Lab analysis/testing. • Monitors all manufacturing procedures to ensure compliance to customer’s specifications. • Ensures all incoming testing of packaging and chemicals are completed according to GMP and customer requirements. Provides technical assistance to other departments, suppliers and customers as needed. • Audits batch records to ensure compliance with applicable regulations. • Investigates non-conformance batches and finished products. • Oversee investigations and corrective actions relating to product quality problems and recommends changes or improvements. • Manage all specification documentation and control. • Manage and maintain all cGMP documentation. • Key player for improving facility QA/QC standards, such as raw material QA, bulk processing, filling line QC and primary packaging QA for reducing cost and enhancing consumer experience satisfaction. • Interface with Customer QA Departments • Maintain formal quality improvement program, including supporting methodology, tools, and training materials. • Responsible for completing statistical analysis on all appropriate processes to measure, monitor and track quality improvement. • Ensure appropriate training of all departmental personnel and coordinate inter-department communications. • Complete and/or verify accurate completion of all documentation (forms, reports, etc.) • Responsible for all label storage, distribution, and reconciliation. • Ensure compliance to cGMP methods and practices are being utilized in manufacturing process. • Routinely walks the production floor to validate quality processes and product by observing, engaging, and helping to improve quality activities during all production and test runs. • Is on call 24 hours to answer questions from 2nd and 3rd shift. Requirements Education: • Preferred but not required BS Degree in Chemistry. Biology, Quality, or related field Experience (years and topics): • Experience in liquid fill manufacturing and minimum three (3) years building and leading QA teams. • Excellent Knowledge and application of Quality System policies and procedures Lean Manufacturing Principles and Six Sigma is desired • Working knowledge of lab equipment - Viscometer, pH meter, pycnometer • Mechanical aptitude in relationship to lab equipment and understanding of production equipment. Technology/Software (years): • Excellent computer skill set including Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel. Communication: • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), to communicate with all personnel. • Motivational / Team Building skills • Ability to engage staff and drive positive results. Physical Requirements: • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds of weight. • Ability to walk around the facility and stand for long periods of time during audits or daily during floor walks. • Ability to sit for long periods of time during meetings or computer work time. • Ability to see and use computer for an extended period. • Plant is within OSHA compliance for noise limits, employee must be able to handle the tolerance
