SURESTAFF is immediately hiring an R&D Assistant for a client in Bartlett, IL. The R&D Assistant is responsible for assisting in making recipes and being proactive and resourceful in all situations while providing kitchen support.
SURESTAFF is invested in their team members! All temp to hire employees are offered competitive compensation ($20-21/hr.) as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision).
Available shifts include 9:00am-5:30pm Mon-Fri.
Responsibilities of the R&D Assistant: -Assist in the preparation, testing, and evaluation of new food product formulations.-Conduct benchtop and pilot plant trials, ensuring accurate documentation of procedures and results.-Support sensory evaluations-Prepare and maintain samples for customer presentations, keep the sample inventory up to date-Accurately weigh, measure, and mix ingredients following R&D protocols.-Maintain cleanliness and organization of the R&D kitchen, lab equipment, and storage areas.-Record detailed data in formulation and assist in report preparation.-Comply with all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety guidelines.-Other duties will be assigned as needed.
Qualifications of the R&D Assistant: -1–3 years of experience in restaurants, food manufacturing, product development, or related environment.-Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.-Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.-Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). -Comfortable working in a cold environment
