SURESTAFF is immediately hiring an R&D Assistant for a client in Bartlett, IL. The R&D Assistant is responsible for assisting in making recipes and being proactive and resourceful in all situations while providing kitchen support.
SURESTAFF is invested in their team members! All temp to hire employees are offered competitive compensation ($19-21/hr.) as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision). Generous referral bonuses are available upon hire.
Available shifts include 9:00am-5:30pm Mon-Fri.
Responsibilities of the R&D Assistant: -Comply with all food safety, workplace safety, and quality procedures. -Perform R&D testing of finished products and raw materials. -Weigh recipes correctly. -Take care of the R&D samples inventory and shipments; keep the R&D kitchen clean and organized. -Execute pilot plant test independently (after adequate training) -Read and interpret documents such as invoices and department manuals -Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications of the R&D Assistant: -At least 1+ years of experience in R&D or food service, or culinary education equivalent-Bilingual in English & Spanish is a plus-Excellent written and verbal communication skills-Math skills: able to calculate percentages-Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment-Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word is a plus-Comfortable working in a cold environment
