Location: Des Plaines Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Pay: $17.50
Scope: The Warehouse Import Receiver will manage the daily breakdown and receiving of freight for the Air and Ocean Import Teams. Responsibilities include using RF scanners to scan freight, verifying freight against manifests, prioritizing shipments, breaking down freight, using tablets to generate reports and research shipments, and completing outturn coversheets.
Responsibilities: - Execute operational tasks required for customers, both internal and external. - Accurately receive freight into the system within required turnaround times. - Break down air boards, unload containers, and rework loose freight. - Maintain daily communication with department Team Leads and Supervisors. - Submit all paperwork with accuracy and completeness. - Perform additional warehouse functions as directed by Management.
Required Qualifications: - Minimum 1 year of experience in warehousing. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Strong computer skills, including experience with RF scanners and tablets. - Ability to learn and operate a proprietary Warehouse Management System (WMS). - Capability to analyze manifest reports. - Ability to work in a warehouse environment and lift up to 50 lbs. - Experience handling air freight and time-sensitive cargo. - Strong multitasking skills and ability to work independently. - Experience in a high-volume, high-transaction manufacturing or warehousing environment.
