SURESTAFF is immediately hiring a Set-Up Technician for a client in Elgin, IL. The Set-Up Technician is responsible for the set-up and removal of molds including all ancillary equipment for injection molding machines and setting machine controls to ensure the production of products meets the quality standards. SURESTAFF is invested in their team members! Set Up Technician Essential Job Functions:
Personal work effort must be done with safety to prevent mold or equipment damage.
Obtain approval from supervisor for set-up and product produced.
Follow set-up procedures, if there is a problem, notify management.
Assist operator on start-up.
Performs diagnosis and solves operations or problems.
Identifies the need for mold or equipment maintenance.
Perform PM molds per specified procedures.
Stop any operation where there is an issue of safety or product quality.
If delegated by the supervisor, train or assist team members when operation problems occur.
Position, align and securely assemble mold or mold components, and machines. accessories, onto the machine using hoist, power tools, and hand tools.
Set-up and maintenance of auxiliary equipment, including granulators, conveyors, liquid temperature controls, and mold electrical controls.
Must be able to report to work as scheduled.
Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Set Up Technician Skills and/or Competencies:
Understands productions and quality standards and has the judgment to determine the product meets standards.
Must have the ability to train operators for safety and efficiency.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and/or directions.
Ability to write simple communication.
Set Up Technician Education/Experience:
3-5 years experience in injection molding equipment set-up.
