Job Description
SURESTAFF is immediately hiring Set up Technician for a customer plastics injection molding position in Elk Grove Village, IL. The Set up Technician will manage the entire molding process including; equipment set-up, reading and following specifications, and inspecting molds, and delivering finished products to end-user for delivery. Ideal candidates will be self-motivated, make safety a priority, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. SURESTAFF is invested in their team members! Generous referral bonuses are available upon hire. Available shifts include 2nd shift (2:30pm-11:30pm) Overtime is available on a first come, first serve basis. Responsibilities of the Set up Technician - Install/remove injection molds and tooling in machines ranging from 17 ton-400 ton.
- Load cycles from machine memory, and trouble shoot process as required.
- Perform material changes as required. I.E, material grinders, loaders, filters.
- Must be able to operate/set up thermolators, spruce pickers, conveyors, dryers, grinders, and any other auxiliary equipment as required.
- Optimize machine settings and process for quality and overall cycle time.
- Must be able to operate lift trucks and fork trucks.
- Responsible for quality control on individual shift. Blueprint reading, digital caliper, and optical comparator use is a must.
- knowledge of injection molding plastic materials, to properly run machine process and drying.
- Responsible for packaging finished product, applying proper labels, and date coding box.
- Maintain good housekeeping and adhere to all safety rules.
- Must be able to speak, read, comprehend, and write in English.
- Follow appliance components ISO Procedures.
- Interact with supporting departments: engineering, mold repair, machine maintenance, etc. as required
Required Qualifications of the Set up Technician:- Five or more yrs experience in the injection molding industry having a set up position.
- Experience with ISO9001 requirements.
- High school diploma/GED
