SURESTAFF is immediately hiring Forklift Operators for a large, well-known client on the far east side of Chicago, IL. As a Forklift Operator, you will be an essential part of our client’s core operations, ensuring that quality product is received, processed, and delivered in a timely manner according to client expectations. The Forklift Operator is responsible for operating material handling equipment for the purpose of receiving, moving, locating, relocating, and shipping merchandise. Ideal candidates will be self-motivated, make safety a priority, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. SURESTAFF is invested in their team members! All temp-to-hireemployees are offered competitive compensation $19-$19.50 per hour as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision). Generous referral bonuses are available upon hire. Available shifts include 1st and 2nd shifts. Overtime is available on a first come, first serve basis.There are 1st and 2nd shift positions available. 1st shift is Monday – Friday 5:30am -2pm 2nd shift is Monday – Friday 1:30pm-10pm
Responsibilities of the Forklift Operator: • Assist in daily warehouse operations including vendor receiving, computer system operation, tagging, picking, staging and inventory of all products • Organize and secure materials such as boxes, pallets etc. • Load and unload products with forklift onto pallets, platforms, skids, trucks or lifting devices • Follow all safety protocols and procedures • Examine and verify types of goods and abide by compliance standards • Read and verify tickets to determine accuracy of inbound and outbound orders • Compare records, read manifests, invoices and orders to ensure accuracy • Work with teams to adhere and improve upon key performance metrics and engineered labor standards
Required Qualifications of the Forklift Operator: Required Qualifications of the Warehouse Associate: • Warehouse experience preferred • Stand-up Forklift experience required • Must be a team player • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills • Ability to prove dependability and attendance. • Must have basic math and computer skills • Willing to work weekends, holidays or different shifts when needed to ensure the business is operational 24/7 • Must be able to work in cold environments • Must be able to repetitively lift/carry up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 250 pounds. • Must be able to perform frequent bending, kneeling, pushing, and squatting. Also, frequent reaching over shoulder, waist level and from the floor.
