SURESTAFF is immediately hiring for an experienced Automation Engineer for a large manufacturing client located in Carol Stream, IL. The Automation Engineer provides expertise in the areas of machine operation including programming, setup and running of automated machinery. SURESTAFF is invested in their team members! All temp-to-hire or direct hire employees are offered competitive compensation of $80,000/yr as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision). Available shifts: 1st Shift: 6:30a-3p, M-F Responsibilities of the Automation Engineer:
Engineer/Design new UL891 Switchgear and AC distribution products.
Create/update as-built production drawings.
Support Production, Sales, and other team members.
Create part fabrication drawings.
Stay up to date with latest NEC, NFPA, IFC, and other applicable codes
Stay up to date with latest technologies and components used for manufacturing.
Preferred Qualifications of the Automation Engineer:
5 yrs. of experience in Designing UL891 Switchgear and Power Systems
B.S. degree in technical area of study preferred
roficient in AutoCad and Solidworks
Knowledge of current UL 891 and NEC Standards
Knowledge of design techniques, and principals involved in production, drawings, and 2D/3D models
Understanding of electrical circuits.
Proficient in Word and Excel.
Written and verbal communication skills.
