Job Description
SURESTAFF is immediately hiring a detail-oriented Team Lead Inspector for a company in Lincolnshire, IL. A successful Team Lead Inspector should have excellent troubleshooting skills, have experience inspecting product in a fast-paced industrial manufacturing environment, and be able to ensure that product consistently meets quality standards and guidelines. SURESTAFF is invested in their team members! Overtime is available on a first come, first serve basis. Responsibilities of the Team Lead Inspector:The following reflects essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. - Train and mentor inspectors
- Submit daily and weekly inspections reports.
- Monitors and confirms priority for inspection.
- Submit and process Non-Conformance reports for goods failing inspection.
- Assist the engineers with any questions on new product inspection.
- Inspects components to determine if they are conforming to specifications.
- Interpret detailed blueprints, work orders and engineering specs.
- Calibrate and perform gauge studies.
- Notify supervisors and other personnel of production problems and assist in identifying them.
- Discuss inspection results with those responsible for products.
- Record inspection data using established programs and software.
- Maintain inspection database and software.
- Comply with all safety and sanitation regulations.
Education and Experience- A high school graduate or GED
- 5+ years’ experience in mechanical inspection and manufacturing environment
- Ability to follow inspection processes and plans.
- Experience with quality control equipment such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, surface, comparator, roughness gauges, etc.
- Experience with advanced quality control equipment such as: Hommel, Keyence, Spring tester, Hardness tester preferred.
- Experience using a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM), Optical comparator or other complex inspection systems.
- Proficient with MS Windows, Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Experience with GD&T technical specifications, Work Instructions, and drawings
- Train quality control inspectors and other new hires for different quality departments
- Exhibit ethical independence and judgment of the parts and process.
- Clear communication/effective interaction with other departments/suppliers
- Visually inspects products using a scope or other tools using lot sampling methods, first article checks, or (occasionally) 100% inspection.
