SURESTAFF is immediately hiring for an experienced Tool & Die Maker for a large manufacturing client located in Valparaiso, IN. This position will manufacture parts per blueprint, or process instruction, ensuring all specifications are met. This is a Direct Hire opportunity. Hourly pay is $36.47/hr, paying overtime after 8 hours. (Equates to $87,360/yr). Available shifts: D-Shift: 6p-6a, Thursday-Friday-Saturday (every other Wednesday) *Must be available to train on a day-shift schedule. Responsibilities of the Tool & Die Maker:
Operate a surface grinder, lathe, polishing wheel, drill press, hand tools, and mill (tolerances within .0001).
Assemble, clean and adjust intricate die set assemblies
Ensure that every machine procedure is done in accordance with the strict guidelines of the company
Follow all company safety protocol
Ability to read tooling & die prints
Ability to make decisions when troubleshooting material defects from potential compromised tooling
Preferred Qualifications of the Tool & Die Maker:
5+ years of experience with manual machines (specifically manual milling, manual grinding, manual lathes)
Experience working with tolerances within .0001
Must possess strong basic math skills
Must have great attention to detail
Must be able to work independently, ideally possessing leadership skills
