SURESTAFF is immediately hiring a Utility Worker for a large, well-known client in Itasca, IL. As a Utility Worker for SURESTAFF you will be an essential part of our client’s core operations. SURESTAFF is invested in their team members! All temp-to-hire employees are offered competitive compensation($16/hr)as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision). Utility Worker Duties and Responsibilities
Reading work orders and developing plans to execute them
Replacing light bulbs and making repairs to light fixtures
Maintaining landscaping, lawns, outbuildings, parking areas and fencing
Making basic repairs to plumbing, HVAC and structural problems
Conducting routine maintenance on building systems, such as replacing filters in HVAC systems
Servicing and cleaning tools and equipment used for maintenance
Ordering, inventorying and organizing equipment and supplies needed for maintenance
Updating and keeping records of all work orders completed
Utility Worker Requirements and Qualifications
Ability to remain upright for long periods and to move throughout buildings and their grounds
Basic knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical wiring, HVAC, landscaping and mechanics
Ability to move and operate equipment and tools commonly used for maintenance
Familiarity with how to safely use and store equipment and potentially hazardous or flammable materials
Oral and reading comprehension skills to understand verbal instructions and work orders
Arithmetic and measuring skills to prepare and utilize materials needed for maintenance and repairs
Computer skills to utilize electronic work order software, email, spreadsheets and other required programs
Multitasking skills to work on multiple projects at once, as needed
