Warehouse Clerk in Shipping and Recieving / Lead at North Point Fresh** This is NOT a forklift position** SureStaff is currently hiring for a Shipping and Receiving Clerk and a Shipping and Receiving Lead at North Point Fresh. This position is located on the Eastside of Chicago, IL near the Ford Plants . Job Summary: The Shipping & Receiving Associate will manage the scheduling of inbound and outbound shipments, and handle driver documentation while maintaining great customer service. This position is always in a refrigerated environment 32-35 degrees. Shipping and Receiving- 1st shift Wed- Sat 5:30am – 4 pm $20.00Shipping and Receiving Lead - 2nd shift lead Wed – Sat 3:30 pm -2am $24.50 You will need to be able to provide a professional resume detailed with recent 3-month work experience You will need at least 1 year of lead experience if applying for lead position Both the Shipping and Receiving Clerk and Lead position require MS Office experience and you will be required to pass a MS Office test. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Greet and assist visitors/drivers in a timely and friendly manner.
Sign drivers in and notify warehouse for dock assignment.
Coordinate with warehouse and transportation to ensure timely and accurate preparation of shipping and receiving documents.
Receives, counts, and logs cash received by carriers if applicable.
Maintain WMS Scheduler, hard copy schedules, and updates visual aids for traffic flow.
Verify paperwork with and releases drivers once paperwork is completed.
Completes receipts including pallets for loads.
Verify product and product count to ensure accuracy of data entered in computer.
Notify management of pending no shows and/or unscheduled arrivals.
Arrange outbound pick-up appointments for carriers and customer pickups.
Call carriers for late and/or no-show trucks and reschedule appointments as necessary.
Follows HACCP and SQF requirements for food quality and safety.
Qualifications & Skills:
At least 1 year Shipping & Receiving / Warehouse Clerk experience.
Must have exceptional customer service skills.
Must have basic math and computer skills.
Experience with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) - A MS Office Suite test will be required
Strong Interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Great attention to detail.
Must be a team player.
Willing to work weekends, holidays or different shifts when needed to ensure the business is operational 24/7.
